8 Ways Benevolence is the Most Intelligent Mindset

Benevolence, as defined by Merriam-Webster, is "the quality of being well meaning; kindness." Examples of benevolence are doing what's fair, treating people equally, and wanting what's best for everyone, including yourself. This behavior, while admirable, can have different motives. Some may do it out of fear of hell, some out of knowledge that benevolence creates a good environment, and others may do it simply because it feels good to be benevolent. Whatever the motive one has behind this behavior, the endless benefits it has remain the same. Once one realizes the true impact benevolence has, and sees the impact the opposite has on the world, there is literally only one logical choice. I present you 8 Ways Benevolence is the Most Intelligent Mindset.

1) It Promotes Inner Peace

Being benevolent towards oneself, both physically and mentally, is an obvious. To not do what's best for oneself and hope for what's best for oneself is sabotage. While some people certainly self-sabotage subconsciously, it is wise to make these subconscious, sabotaging behaviors conscious to break the cycle. This may require hours of inner work, but it is the best thing one can do for oneself. Without self-love, one can never truly love others, because how we treat ourselves sets the standards for how we treat others. We will always compare how we treat ourselves to how we treat others and use it as a gauge for measuring love towards others.

To love oneself is not vanity. It can certainly become vanity if overdone, but if one drops the drama that the ego, and its stoking, brings, that is the only way one can truly look at oneself objectively and lay the foundations for a healthy mindset. You are not broken, you just haven't been taught to deal with things within in the best way possible. You are an amazing being with unlimited potential worthy of love in all ways. You don't have to be perfect; no one is. You just need to take responsibility for mistakes and false beliefs and correct them if you want to present to the world the best version of yourself possible. You are a part of this world, and this is the part of the world you have the most power to change. To operate in the most benevolent way possible is the biggest thing you can do to change the world.

2) It Promotes Peaceful Relationships

Once you truly are at peace with yourself, you have the correct mindset to offer others the kind of unconditional love you will finally hold for yourself. This is the only form of true love. Certainly the old perceptions of love hold true care for others, but in unconditional love, one will want what's best for all, regardless of anyone's past mistakes. This is the only healthy way of operating in the world. The common, accepted practice of stepping on others for one's own benefit, when examined with this mindset, is seen for what it truly is: stepping on oneself. It creates an environment of malevolence and harm.

Every action, decision, and thought one makes has lasting effects on the world around them, and infinite effects in the future. The action of stepping on another to get ahead will create chaos and negativity in the other person's life, which often results in the person creating chaos in others' lives to get ahead themselves, and so on, and so forth. One can see a pattern here, a fractal infinitely spiraling into the future. There are definitely some very strong, mentally healthy individuals who will take the negative, see it for what it is, and resolve to never do that to anyone else, and the world should be forever grateful for their benevolence, because they literally transform this world, but most humans will see the social norm as the accepted, correct behavior because they will feel validated by the examples of others' behaviors.

Once we all operate with benevolence, we will have peaceful relationships without deception, without drama, and full of peace, especially since we will all truly know ourselves, as we really are, without the deceptive ego filter's interference. Harmony will ensue.

3) It Promotes World Peace

Peaceful, benevolent relationships will in turn promote world peace. A benevolent mind will see that what's best for oneself, and the world, is to create a world where we all collaborate to ensure what's best for all. This will be a world without prejudice, lack, violence, wars, crime, deception, malevolent manipulation, rulers, or censorship.

There are bound to be a small number of people who are set in their ways, who resist this beautiful world, but some may eventually come around when they witness the results of adopting this behavior in the world. I imagine even many people diagnosed with sociopathy and psychopathy will see the intelligence and wisdom in this way of living. No matter the motivation, the result is the same, and will benefit us all.

4) It's Contagious

Just as I illustrated with my previous example of the fractal patterns of an action towards another in negativity, the same is true of benevolent actions. One kind action will have infinite effects in the future. There will still be those that resist the pattern and continue to act in malevolence, but most will do what they see as the norm. We need to make benevolence the norm, so it will pervade every person until they see its true wisdom. To harm others and the world is to harm oneself.

5) It Promotes Equality

Equality is something humans have been working towards for at least thousands of years. The reason it hasn't become reality is that we are working within a system that promotes and rewards inequality. Those with a benevolent mindset will see this error and work towards the creation of a new system without the means for malevolence to thrive. In our current, historically used system, stepping on others is rewarded with wealth and power. We need to take away those rewards and instead reward benevolence immediately if we want the fastest change possible. We will eventually need to take away the reward, as one does when training an animal, and the behavior will be conditioned.

The expectation of personal reward is in part responsible for our materialistic minds. Capitalism itself is driven by this tendency, and the ego is engorged by this system. The realization that a more stable, lasting, long term reward will only be achieved once we all work towards this new system will eventually be reward enough.

6) It Promotes Prosperity

Prosperity for all, another thing humanity has been seeking for centuries or more, will be the result of implementing benevolence at personal, interpersonal, and global levels. We will use our technology to ensure we each have all the things we need, not only to survive, but to thrive, as we are all more powerful when we work together and we all have the most potential individually, and globally when we are in a thriving environment.

7) It Creates a Better Overall Environment

This will eventually create the best environment possible for us all. Our definition of the best will always be evolving as we become more intelligent as a species and as we discover more and more. Our rate of discovering new innovations and knowledge will infinitely increase as more and more of us cooperate and work towards a better future. This will eventually be the only form of work any of us need to do, after we leave behind the malevolent practices of our past, which have severely limited and harmed humankind and the planet.

8) It Can Save the World

This way of living has the power to save our world from ourselves, the biggest threat to our planet. We will even develop the powers to stop natural disasters and possibly even stop all accidents from happening. The only thing stopping us is ourselves. Please, take this advice and implement it into your lives. This is the grassroots method of change, the only change that has traditionally worked in the past. This time, with our level of interconnectedness and technology, it has the power to completely transform all aspects of our world into a paradise, and solve most of our world's problems. I wish this world for each of you, and for every being on this planet, and even beyond, throughout the universe. Namaste.
