10 Benefits of Expanding Our Perception
Throughout history, many newfound truths and discoveries, especially those that negate the accepted narrative of the time, have been met with widespread doubt and disbelief. In all cases, the truth will benefit us more (by giving us a more realistic perception) than believing a lie. Most people disregarded and ridiculed these new discoveries due to cognitive dissonance, and lack of an open mind. To believe anything we know is infallible is a grave error, especially knowing all we know has been the work of others and ourselves, usually holding limited perceptions of their/our own.
The world would benefit immensely from a more comprehensive perspective. Instead of focusing on immediate rewards and quick fixes, which most often result in exacerbating problems, we must focus on long term, sustainable solutions. Instead of focusing solely on ourselves and our families, or even our countries, we must focus on the entire world. Instead of isolated elements and cycles of science, we must focus on the entire cycle, in all spectrums, at all dimensions, from micro to macro, throughout time. It is only then that we will begin to develop an accurate perception of the world.
1)Clearer Thinking
Expanding our perceptions will bring each of us clearer thinking and a deeper understanding of ourselves, others, and the world around us. It will lead to a more expansive and deeper level of empathy. We will be much more careful of the decisions we make and the life we choose to live, understanding how we effect the world around us. We will be mindful of our thoughts, understanding they effect our mental health, physical health, and attitudes. Our vision will no longer be limited to our indoctrinated, shallow, self-centered focus, but will expand to include the entire world. This will lead to a shift in the paradigm of the planet. It is exactly the shift we need to heal the damage we have caused to our beautiful planet, and to evolve past our limiting and destructive way of life.
2)Higher Intelligence
Undoubtedly, this more expansive perception will be accompanied by higher intelligence. It will be a side effect of this newfound awareness. We will understand how harmful and ignorant any bigoted behavior is to the planet. We will become aware of the ignorance of certain cultural customs and aspects of religion. We will become aware of any behaviors we hold that enable and perpetuate any harmful beliefs and ways, and we will finally break the cycle. We will work on undoing the damage we have done to ourselves and our planet through our ignorance and the destructive ways of our past, and forge a new way of doing things, and a brighter future for us all.
3)Better Relationships
A better understanding of ourselves and the world around us will bring about deeper, more meaningful relationships with less drama. This will result in an increase in everyone's quality of life and happiness. We will communicate better and empathize with each other more. Disagreements will be civil and resolved in a mature manner, never perpetuated into egotistical, circular, insulting arguments. People won't dance around the point, because they will understand it is a waste of time. Emotions will never be repressed, they will be expressed, as they're meant to be, and any negative ones will be resolved intelligently.
We will know ourselves completely, as we were before society imposed its expectations on us. It will be the most liberating experience, like seeing color for the first time after living a life in monotone. We will love and empathize with ourselves; and be our own best friends, to help heal any insecurities, traumas and issues that were a result of society's old way of thinking, and our imposition of those ways upon ourselves. We will all finally find inner peace, and have a chance to develop peace with others.
4)Increased Benevolence
Increased mindfulness will expose the hidden truth that benevolence is the most intelligent mindset. One's highest potential well-being is directly dependent on the highest potential well-being of everyone else. For example, in our current world, there are certainly many people whose potentials haven't been reached due to lack of opportunity and lack of motivation. Among those people are definitely many whose life work, at their highest potential, would vastly improve your quality of life, and improve the entire world. There is no study needed to be sure of this. It's common sense, and statistically impossible to be false, at least in our current world.
Knowing this, we will actively and aggressively weed out any hindrance to anyone's highest potential, and aim to create a world where every person will reach their highest potential. This can only be achieved through worldwide cooperation and worldwide benevolence, which is only possible through a worldwide change in mindset.
5)Better Education
This will also lead to better education, in both method and increased knowledge base. One obvious improvement would be free, open-source education and knowledge, accompanied by a free and open internet. People will learn by indulging in their curiosities and passions, which will increase their motivation and drive, creating better experts in every field.
Another obvious area in need of improvement is delivery. Every person learns differently. I believe almost everyone is capable of learning almost anything, if taught the way they learn best, which differs from person to person. We can create a personalized method of learning for each person that is both captivating and engaging, which will instill children with a deeper curiosity, interest, and desire to learn. Robots or computer programs will be the easiest way to do this. It will also cut down the time required to teach and learn, freeing up more time to enjoy life for all.
6)Faster Developments
All of these improvements in mindset, intelligence, education, and relationships will lead to faster developments in all areas, especially once we all work together. We will swiftly undo the damage we've done to the earth and each other, and work on improving the world in the best way we can at any time. Everything will be redesigned for efficiency and intelligence. We will be travelling the cosmos in no time, perhaps even literally, through time travel.
7)Smarter Technology
We will see the absurd way we make things to break as one of the most stupid things we've ever done. Instead, our technology will be made to upgrade easily, and everyone will have the latest version of any new device, used benevolently of course, at any time. This can only be achieved through ensuring every home has a 3D printer in it. We will recycle and 3D print clothes, dishes, glasses, beds, dressers, technology, and literally anything we use. This is a much more intelligent way of living. We will even likely 3D print foods, especially animal products, as our methods of factory farming are extremely harmful to the environment, especially coupled with the pollution caused by transportation of products. 3D printing can solve this as well.
8)Healthy Planet
All of these improvements will lead to a healthy planet. We will take our place as protectors of the planet, as any truly sentient species should. We will create a heaven on earth, where everyone is satisfied with themselves and their lives, happy, prosperous and productive in society. Improving the world as best we can and ensuring a safe, peaceful, benevolent world will be our only jobs, besides truly living, spending time with our loved ones, and doing what we love. The planet will be clean and the ecosystem will be balanced.
We will never forget the results and effects of living the old ways, and will instill in everyone the importance of living benevolently and being mindful. We will also learn defense as the only acceptable time to fight. Our planet will be protected properly, in case there are any hostile space-faring species. The likelihood of them developing into an interstellar species without destroying themselves is much smaller, so thankfully most species we encounter will likely be peaceful, especially if they realize cooperation and benevolence is the fastest path to ultimate knowledge, the ultimate goal of any sentient species.
9)World Peace
We will finally find world peace. There are likely to be individual incidents of people relapsing to our old ways, but together we can help them adopt the new ways, especially if they see how much they benefit by them. There is literally no excuse for the way we live besides ignorance and perpetuating old ways, and once we see that, we will all find peace. Most of the world wishes for this and the rest of them will too, once they understand the implications. There is no need to fear spreading this truth. It will speak for itself, and transform those guiltiest of harming the planet to supporters of this quest.
10)World Prosperity
This will lead to world prosperity as well. There will be no starving people, no species going extinct, we will deal with drought and population concerns intelligently, and we will clean up our mess. All illnesses and diseases will finally be able to be cured without the influence of capitalism, (which will be understood as inherently harmful to the planet!) pulling the strings of the medical and pharmaceutical industries. We will all finally be free to pursue the lives fueled by our passions and dreams, without the risk of starvation and homelessness that comes with it. This world is imminent, if only we all change our mindsets and ways. It is only possible by first going within and addressing our inner fallacies and corruption. We need not fear being wrong. We should only fear not correcting our behaviors, which has led to this insane planetary state, that can be easily fixed if we all work together towards planetary evolution. The choice is yours.
